• Precision Structural Engineering in Klamath Falls added four workers. Herald and News, 7/1/2013

• Klamath Behavioral Health and Wellness in Klamath Falls will lay off 81 people as the county transitions out of providing adult mental health services. A new community health program will likely hire some of the laid off workers. Herald and News, 6/26/2013

EASTERN OREGON

• Air Methods, a Colorado-based air medical transport service, will begin operation near the Union County Airport in La Grande in August. It will employ 13 people. The Observer, 6/28/2013

• The Ontario School District board adopted a 2013-2014 budget that allows for the creation of 11 positions, including a first-grade teacher, an elementary music teacher, and a high school math teacher. Argus Observer, 6/21/2013

PORTLAND AND SURROUNDING AREAS

• SolarWorld will lay off 100 workers and suspend silicon crystal and wafer manufacturing at its Hillsboro plant. The Oregonian, 7/8/2013

• OHSU and Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare opened OHSU Family Medicine at Richmond, a walk-in physical and mental health care clinic, in southeast Portland. The Bee, 7/5/2013
