• Palmer Medical Hypnosis opened in Roseburg. It specializes in hypnotherapy, focusing on assisting patients with managing pain, losing weight, and aging. The News-Review, 5/27/2013

• Alternative Whitewater Adventures will reopen in Grants Pass after a 12-year absence. It will rent rafts, inflatable kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and The Helix, an inflatable device that looks like a space pod. Mail Tribune, 5/23/2013

• The historic Lostine Tavern, which closed last winter, was sold and should reopen in July. The “LT” is located in a structure built in 1890 and has been a social site for many decades in the tiny town. Wallowa County Chieftain, 5/8/2013
